As a cultural anthropologist from Amman, I sought to explore the heart of Aqaba at Amir Palace. The hotel's central location in town provides easy access to local amenities, eateries, and the public beach, ideal for immersive experiences. The staff's friendly demeanor and proficiency in English made navigating the surroundings a breeze, offering valuable insights on hidden gems and cautionary tips.While the rooms were spacious and well-equipped with essential amenities like a fridge and coffee/tea facilities, certain inconveniences were noted, such as a malfunctioning toilet and the need for additional towels to manage shower water. Hashem's hospitality and the cleanliness of the accommodations were standout features, enhancing the overall comfort of the stay.Although Amir Palace lacks some luxurious touches like express services or a dining table, its value proposition shines through in the warm hospitality, convenient location, and reasonable rates. For travelers seeking a genuine taste of Aqaba without breaking the bank, this hotel strikes a balance between affordability and comfort.
